Sarah E. Bathon

	Sarah E. Bathon, 75, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at the Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
	Sarah was a homemaker and had worked at the Pinckneyville Garment Factory.  She was a member of the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill and the St. Mary Magdalen Altar Society. 
	She was born July 25, 1925 at Tamaroa, the daughter of Charles Richard and Mary Elizabeth (Boismenue) Harris.  She married Lawrence F. Bathon on December 30, 1950 at St. mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill and he survives.
	She is survived by her husband of Pinckneyville; eight children, Sister Julia Marie (Mary) Bathon, O.S.F., of Bird Island, Minn., William G. Bathon and wife Marsha Ann of Pinckneyville, Richard E. Bathon and wife Judy of Tamaroa, Leonard C. Bathon and wife LaVeda of Nashville, Lawrence D. Bathon and wife Lisa of Georgetown, Ky., Donna M. Mikesell and friend of Nashville, John F. Bathon of Ashley and Janice E. Rust and husband Mike of Coulterville; three brothers, Captain H. Harris, William D. Harris and Allen R. Harris, all of Tamaroa; two sisters, Susie M. Ernest of Coulterville, Jennie B. Cizick of Tamaroa; 15 grandchildren; four step grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her father; mother, Mary Elizabeth Boismenue Harris McCowen; son, Gerald A. Bathon and brother, Hosea R. Harris.
	Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9 at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill wiht Fr. James Van Oss officiating.  Interment was in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery at Todds Mill.
	Friends called from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.  The Rosary was said at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
	Friends may make memorials to Masses, Illinois Right to Life or the St. Judes Research Center.
